Cake # 7 - A Martial Arts Birthday

The final cake of the weekend was for a little girl that is a true karate kid. She wanted the logo for ATA on her cake. This was to be a 9x13 marble cake.

I created the logo in colorflow at the same time I did the colorflow decorations for cake #2. Really it was just a matter of decorating the cake, and placing the colorflow on top with a quick "Happy Birthday!"

It was supposed to be that easy anyway. However, my 3-year-old mischief maker had other intentions. I was letting this cake cool on the table while I went upstairs to feed my 7-month-old baby girl. When I came downstairs, my toddler was very proud of himself that he had helped mommy cut her cake!

Lucky for me, he had only cut the corner, and the cake was salvagable because there was no time to start from scratch. I trimmed a few inches off, turned the 9x13 into a square, and luckily the logo still fit!

And my wonderful neighbors, who the cake was for, were very understanding! Lesson learned!! Never, ever let your guard down with a 3-year-old loose in the house!
